The Age of Monsters (100,000 - 70,000)

The first age conceived of by mortal minds marked the creation of Aosha itself, believed to be a conjoined act by a mass of great powers (many, arguably most of whom did not survive to the current age). Primitive monsters, beasts and horrors stalked the world, preying openly upon the vulnerable mortal humanoid races as food or sport. In the disordered chaos of primordial Aosha, abominations filled the seas in abundance and the lands were violent battling grounds for the exercise of wholesale slaughter in the interests of territory and petty squabbles. No civilizations or fortifications aided the early mortal races, and none survived attempted construction for very long.

The gods openly battled, destroyed each others' children, made temporary alliances and shifted allies freely.

It was a time marked by raw brutality, betrayal, and fear.
